Q: What are the dimensions I need for regulation lanes?

A: Lanes are arranged in pairs. Each lane pair is 11' 1 1/4" (3.3 Meters) wide. The length required from the start of the approach to the end of the  automatic pinspotter is about 85' (25 Meters).

Q: How can I determine how many lanes I need to install?

A: A common formula used in the USA today is one lane for every 1,500 persons within 15 minutes driving time from the chosen location.

 Q: What will the equipment cost?

A: The costs can vary greatly depending on your needs or budget. As-is equipment can be purchased for as little as $4,000US per lane. All new equipment including automatic  scoring and all the  bells and whistles can be as much as $50,000US per lane. Popular packages sell for between $15,000 and $25,000 per lane and include many new items.

Q: What are some of the recommended features I should consider?

A: Todays  popular attractions in bowling centers are 1) automatic scoring, 2) glowing lanes and a light/sound show, 3) bumper bowling and 4) arcade  games. Standard services are such things as a pro-shop, locker and shoe rental, ball polisher and  food/beverage sales.
